Toshiba was recognised as an ABA100 Winner for Best Eco Product in The Australian Business Awards 2014.
The Australian Business Award for Best Eco Product [ECO] recognises eco-products that demonstrate product leadership offering a point of difference from their competitors.
Founded in 1875, Toshiba is a leading diversified manufacturer, solutions provider and marketer of advanced electronic and electrical products and systems. Toshiba Group brings innovation and imagination to a wide range of businesses through digital products, electronic devices, industrial and social infrastructure systems and home appliances. Toshiba’s aim is to enhance its customers’ businesses and improve their operational efficiency while also contributing to environmental sustainability.
Toshiba emphasises “differentiation in eco-printing” as a fundamental strategy of its printing business. The e-STUDIO306LP/RD30 is a unique multi-function device (MFD) that combines two devices in one: a printer with erasable toner and an erasing device. This dual system enables paper to be reused multiple times in a printer or copier, dramatically and environmental sustainability. It also enhances operational efficiency and profits by scanning and saving documents automatically while erasing papers. The combination of these functions supports the full diversity of working styles and workflow needs, while reducing both economic and environmental costs. After being erased, each sheet is scanned again and sorted automatically into reusable and non-reusable paper. This saves the effort of sorting the paper by hand. By turning paper into a reusable resource, Toshiba’s MFD dramatically reduces the environmental impacts associated with printing and copying, offering approximately 50% reduction in CO2 emission and 80% reduction in paper use.
The Australian Business Awards congratulate Toshiba for its success in the category of Best Eco Product in 2014.
