Thursday, 20th August 2015 Robert and Julie Hunter were honoured to accept the Hardings ‘Commercial Services Medium Award’ and the 2015 Geelong ‘Business of the Year’ Award at the 2015 Powercor Geelong Business Excellence Awards (GBEA) Gala on Thursday night.
The prestigious Awards Gala organised by the Geelong Chamber of Commerce took place at the Geelong Arena and attracted over 500 Geelong business professionals. Celebrating its 30 year anniversary, GBEA recognize organisations that have achieved business excellence in the Geelong region. There are 20 Awards categories including the most prestigious ‘Business of the Year’ Award.
After deciding to enter the Awards for the first time this year, our team put a lot of hard work and thoughts into the submission. The selection process consisted of a written application, followed by a site visit from judges Teresa Best and Peter Temple, and a final presentation at the Geelong Chamber of Commerce office. In her acceptance speech last night, Julie Hunter quoted:
“This has been an incredible experience, forcing us to look back over the last 3 to 5 years from where we have come. I’m so proud of what Rob, myself and our team have achieved. From unpacking printers in our carpark at Yarra St, shifting our business model to provide customers a complete business solution.”
While there were a lot of amazing businesses entering the Awards, we are proud to have been selected as the “best-of-the-best.” Our achievement is a result of a dedicated team of employees who love what they do and are passionate to work within the Geelong Business community. Closing last night’s speech Robert Hunter, Managing Director, said:
“A special thank you to our customers, some that we have had for over 28 years. We appreciate your loyalty, your commitment and placing your trust in us to provide you with excellent products and service. Without our fantastic customers we wouldn’t be here today.”
